Active Wi-Fi Site Survey

You have the latest-gen access points, but your colleagues still pray for better WLAN every morning? Then it’s time to take a closer look at things. With the Active
Wi-Fi Site Survey, we’ll help you find the source of the problems in your under-performing WLAN networks and get them fixed.

What we offer

During an Active Wi-Fi Site Survey, we measure the actual WLAN performance in different areas of your building or premises. But transmit power isn’t the only important metric. What you use your WLAN for also affects the perceived quality, so our Site Survey takes that into account.
We then create a report that shows you the essential metrics such as signal strength, channel use, interferences and data rates, so you can identify weak points and find appropriate solutions.
So that the only surprise will be the results of our survey, we offer this service for a fixed price. The costs for the Site Survey as well as our technicians’ travel, meals, and hotel (if needed) are included in our quotation.

How the Active Wi-Fi Site Survey works

Kick-off-Workshop

In a joint workshop, we clarify your specific needs: Do you want to use VoIP over WLAN or Locations Services? Which devices will be using the network for the most part? Do you need coverage for larger areas, or do you have a large number of users? These and a few other questions will define the requirements that your WLAN infrastructure will need to meet.

Site Survey

Our technicians visit your location to carry out the inspection and measurements. To measure your WLAN infrastructure’s signal strength and coverage as precisely as possible, the technician will walk around your entire facility and scan all the active WLAN networks. Signals that cause interference will also be recorded so we can analyse and evaluate them later.

Creation of the Ekahau report

After the Active Wi-Fi Site Survey is completed, we create detailed documentation in the form of an Ekahau planning report.

This report contains:

  • Information about WLAN coverage
  • Recommendations for access point placement
  • Other relevant technical details

Results Workshop

After the planning report is complete, we conduct an additional workshop to present the results of our Active Site Survey. This will be an online workshop, to save time and travel expenses. In the workshop, we will present the results of our on-site testing, explain our recommendations for access point placement, and happily answer any questions you have.
