These gateways have an IP67 rating for outdoor use and, thanks to their slim form factor, can be used in almost any environment. Use the gateway as failover or as primary Internet access. Better connectivity

While many WAN gateways are equipped with LTE failover, they are usually located in network cabinets with limited LTE reception. The small MG gateways with CAT 6 receiver modules are designed to be installed where your LTE reception is best – even outdoors.

Cloud integration

Like all Cisco Meraki products, MG gateways can be set up automatically via zero touch provisioning and managed via a Meraki dashboard. Enjoy all the benefits of smart cloud management, such as monitoring key network characteristics with automatic notification in case of problems.

The Cisco Meraki MG converts LTE mobile radio signals into wired Ethernet signals. The MG can be connected not only to the Cisco Meraki MX and the Cisco ISR and vEdge series, but also to third-party routers. Cisco Meraki MG gateways can also be integrated into the Meraki dashboard, of course. While routers with integrated LTE modules are usually located in network cabinets inside buildings where they have limited LTE reception, these small MG gateways can be deployed flexibly to the best location for mobile phone reception.
